Music

Another way to tell a story.
another way to bring light.

I’ve always needed to create.

Sometimes that means writing a book. Sometimes it means designing something, building something or cooking something. And sometimes, the words in my head simply need music.

The songs here are another creative outlet for me. They come from the same place as everything else I create: life, identity, family, experience and the desire to leave a little more light behind than I found.

Some are deeply personal. They’re about my own journey as a man, an Israeli, a Jew and, most importantly, a father. They’re about people I’ve loved, people I’ve lost, scars I carry and lessons I’ve learned. There have been moments in my life that could easily have become anger or bitterness. I’d rather turn them into something else. Something that helps me become a better man and a better father.

Others look outward.

They’re about Am Yisrael. About remembering who we are, where we came from, what we have endured and, perhaps most importantly, what we have built despite it all.

They are about strength without cruelty. Pride without hatred. The knowledge that we are no longer powerless victims, while never losing the humanity that makes strength worth having in the first place.

Because beneath all the noise, politics and accusations, there is something remarkably simple that most Israelis want.

We want to live.

We want to raise our children in light and love. We want them to grow up safe, surrounded by family, possibility and laughter. We want to build, create, discover, dance, argue, eat ridiculously large amounts of food and then argue about that too.

And we want peace.

Peace with our neighbours. Peace with our friends. Peace with people whose prayers may sound different from ours but whose hopes for their children are really not so different at all.

That doesn’t mean weakness. Israel has learned, painfully, that we must be capable of protecting ourselves. We are strong. We are proud. We can defend ourselves.

But power isn’t the destination.

Life is.

The music I write is about choosing what we do with everything that happens to us. Pain can become hatred, or it can become understanding. Loss can hollow us out, or remind us how precious life is. History can imprison us, or give us roots strong enough to keep growing.

These songs are simply my way of putting some of that into sound.

Stories of love, loss, fatherhood, Israel, Jewish identity, resilience, peace and hope.

Different stories. Different moments.

But always pointing towards the same thing.

Life. Love. Light. 🔯🎵🎙️
